week 2(LOGO)

Through our group discussion in this week, we have more idea of our exhibition.

The theme of the exhibition: Apocalyptic
We will focus on the theme to making some pictures, mainly to highlight the theme features.

I think that the theme of the exhibition in addition to have creativity, organization and arrangements are also important. Therefore, our group is still discussion how to display our exhibits. How should hall layout. I think apart from the exhibits placed in the layout, we can design a place to have rest for the audience. I saw some exhibition design. Some of the audience hall resting place is putting a bench as a resting place in the middle of the hall. My idea is that if local enough, we can design a lounge. The lounge facilities are consistent with the theme of the exhibition.

Also this week my main job, apart from visiting art museums, gets some inspiration. The other is design a LOGO for our exhibition.
In the production of LOGO, consideration is how to design, when the audiences see the LOGO, they can know theme of the exhibition. This is the ultimate point. In addition, LOGO designed to comply with the theme, while also a visual impact, impressive for people. Taking into these factors, I have my own ideas in design LOGO.
First, our theme is Apocalyptic, so I use this as the main indicator of LOGO. Our exhibition is mainly to do some destroy the environment, or objects. The whole exhibition is part of the gray color of the Department, in order to match the exhibition, the LOGO selected as the main color of gray.
LOGO font, I chose to use crack, giving a feeling of being destroyed. In additional, when I made the LOGO production background, I use several different backgrounds, each one has its own different characteristics. The final choice of which one, I will discuss with my group members on next group meeting.

I haven't seen any work in your CV and personal card for this week. I just want you to be aware that this two will be considered in your final marking, so you should start working in it as soon as possible. I know this is a hectic week because of the presentaion, but please don't forget about your CV and card. They are important elements of your individual work. About the posters, please don't forget what I told you in class: experiment with typography. Don't just play with backgrounds and textures, try different typos. Try downloading free and new ones from the web, there are loads! Try also trying your designs and typos in different colour palettes. Be sure to show all these different options in Thursday's presentation. See you then.
